Thickened pH neutral aviation paint remover

Directions

Strip-Brite 229 is a phenolic-type paint remover formulated to strip tough coatings from many surfaces, including aluminium. Strip-Brite 229 is a pH neutral gel that clings to vertical surfaces. It will not cause hydrogen embrittlement to high strength steel as per MIL-R-81294 test, is non-flammable and formulated with a superior detergent system to allow for easy rinsing.

Directions

  • Use full strength at 65 - 85 °F.

  • Apply a thick and even coat with a non-atomizing spray or brush.

  • Allow sufficient time for paint to loosen and then agitate with a stiff bristle brush.

  • Check if paint has been completely removed; if not, apply a second thin coat of Strip-Brite 229.

  • When stripping is complete, wash with cold or warm water at 50 psi or higher.
